I'm sure this has been asked before, so I apologize for asking again, but how does one go about shipping loaded ammo from one citizen to another? I tried the Post Office, a UPS store and a Fed Ex store. None of them will ship it.

I send it USPS marked cartridges, small arms ORM-D.

Google USPS label small arms ammunition, and print it.

And ship ground. You can use the limited quantity label. Again, no USPS

It must go "ground" and it must be marked.

If ground is not available it may not be shipped there (AK and HI) except by common carrier with hoops to jump through.

Common Carrier "Stores" are not common carriers by definition.

I put mine in a stout cardboard box, taped well to preclude a problem with rough handling, ship it from UPS or the post office, answer the couple questions on the key pad, pay the freight, and done.

pack it in a box and wrap the box on all sides with an ORM-D label and you are good to go. Fedex and UPS only .

I think you need to go to a UPS hub and maybe a Fedex hub. The stores are limited in what they can or are willing to do.

This.

And print out an ORMD label.

No issues then.

Last I read is that ORMD is being phased out. That's why I use the Limited Qty Diamond. It is what has been on every box of ammo I have ordered in the past few years.

Jyst an FYI

I believe you mean UPS, not USPS. The mail does not ship ammo knowingly.

This; there is no extra charge so no reason to hide what it is.

I went to a Haz Mat shipping class a few days ago. We talked about shipping ammo and powder. It s allowed, You must package it and mark it correctly. Some of the shippers I deal with will refuse a package and tell you they can't because it is packaged or marked wrong. The frustrating part is they tell you they are not allowed to tell you what you need to do correct it under Federal law. In my class they said ORM-D was appropriate for small shipments of consumer products But the books we were using were 2016 and 2015. The shipping book said on the cover it was subject to update weekly.
