I just replaced all my interior car lights with LED bulbs. WOW! what a difference. The old ones were halide bulbs and gave a yellow glow. The LEDs turn my car interior into daylight. I replaced the map lights, vanity lights, dome light, cargo light, and door courtesy lights. Ordered them from PrecisionLED, who package them in a full kit guaranteed to fit your vehicle. (They sent one extra bulb in fact, which I returned for credit.) They include free installation tools and even have a detailed video on YouTube to show how to get the various lights open.

Also installed new LED headlights from SuperBrightLEDs. Another major improvement.

If you have an older vehicle with dim, anemic lights, I highly recommend you consider this upgrade.

I did the same about a year ago on my commuter car. They are much whiter in color, but about the same brightness. Maybe I need to look at the same brand and kit that Rocky suggests.

They just put them on sale, too. After I bought mine, of course! I got the premium ones, not the standard and selected the 6000° color. Not sure what the difference is between standard and premium except that the premiums are not polarity important. (Doesn't matter which way they're installed)

Any insights on good headlight replacements for a 2008 Tacoma? The lenses on mine are shot.

How much better are the headlights? I have a Ford F150 and that lights are pretty good, but I have a buddy that has an F150 whose lights blow mine away. I have a little trouble seeing late and night and need all the help I can get!

Are the headlights a direct plug and play or require different housing or wiring?
Thanks.

A pox on those who install LED headlight bulbs in housings not designed for them. They are as bad as the cheap Chinese HID kits that scatter light everywhere but where it needs to be.

I already did the lens restore a couple years ago. Ready to just replace the whole assembly, just trying to figure out which one I want.

Thanks. Damned tired of being blinded by cheap assed LED headlights.

Mine were simple remove and replace. No extra resistors or wiring needed. That's not true for all, but the better sellers will tell you if you need extras.

The quality of my new headlights is fabulous. No change to the aim or light pattern at all - just a lot whiter and brighter. Plus, they work in reduced brightness DRL mode as well as low and high beams. I plan to leave 'em turned on permanently.

You betcha.

Tip: Before you swap, back your vehicle out about 10 feet from a wall or your garage door. Make a tape outline of where your headlight beams hit. Do both low and high beams.

Then, swap the bulbs and compare.

Good tip.

I might do this on my '11 pickup when a bulb goes out.

My '95 Taco has the old sealed beams. smile Wife's '01 Sienna needs new housings, so that has potential for new bubs too.
