I can't remember if I ever put this one up or not but I got this rifle from Ol Bob (BobinNH). I put an older M8 Leupold 4X on it and man, I just love the little sucker.. Anyhow, I did a little work looking for a node with the 130's and one popped out at around the 61.5 mark around 3150's for speed.. I didn't do much for accuracy testing with it. Shot it one time for a group and kinda forgot about it as Summer was HOT down here and the heat takes the wind right outta me for shooting rifles.. The circled black area was the 3 I put on it along with a few others trying to work the zero in a little. Well, I circled up this past weekend and loaded a handful to see if I could get the zero tuned up a little and see what it would do when it wasn't quite so hot out. I was shooting prone outta the back of my pick up truck over a bag.. The first group did this.. I had 4 rounds left, so I made a guess at the adjustments with the ol friction adjust M8 and shot the next 4... I should really stick with 3 shots at a time..

Great looking rifle! Looks like a shooter also.

I miss Bob too. This place isn't the same without the old guy. Nice rifle Scotty. You are doing Bobin proud...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Thanks fellas! Hope to put an old mule deer buck on his nose with it this year! I do love the rifle. If I was truly keeping with Bob, I'd ditch the wood and put a Pound'R on it, but I kinda like the way it sits right now, for now..

I imagine Trophy Bonded Bear Claw. https://www.federalpremium.com/prod...-bonded-tip-component-bullets/pb277tt130And it's not a dumb question, the Campfire has it's own dialect.

I'm surprised you got a P64 .270 Win out of Bob. Good shooting and good luck.

Great evidence as to why the 270 has been, and continues to be, one of the most popular calibers used by hunters. Handsome rifle!
Imagine your grave on a windy winter night. You've been dead for 70 years. It's been 50 since a visitor last paused at your tombstone..... Now explain why you're in a pissy mood today.

That is a dandy of a rifle there. Yep. It would be a great rifle even without the provenance, which makes it even greater. DF
