Yesterday did a 2 mile hike with 30 pounds on my back, and then Day 1 PNWild with 20 minutes instead of 15. Did a 2 mile hike today with 95 pounds.

Gym has been down for cleaning the last two days, so it has been Merlot walk/jogs and the C2 Rower.
Haven't needed a cold shower since that Serbian gal I was hanging with at one time.

gym last night (Tiny E hit the trails with my wife)
deadlifts 3/3/3+, bench 3/3/3+, pull-ups 3x11, dips 3x30, core
we are in the midst of gorgeous weather- highs 70’s, lows 40’s- perfect!

3.5 trail miles with a 40 lb pack, Tiny Elvis on the other hand was footloose and fancy free

Finishing up this week with a bike ride tomorrow and hike on Saturday. All workouts up until now have been progressively pushing at least a little. Shooting has been going good so I think I'll be as ready as I can. Plan to chill next week cuz we leave Friday for MT.

Ahhh- good elk area; bring bear spray and purchase a wolf license Been toying with swapping the Ruger Alaskan I planned to carry for spray to save weight. To be honest I didn't even think of the wolf license. Will look into it. Workout last night was chasing a tennis ball around the yard shooting judos with my sons. Nothing builds confidence like whackin' a partially hidden tennis ball at 40+ yards.

Had a slight setback here, got an infection in the bursa on the elbow. Swelled up, turned red, and gave me a fever. Urgent Care couldn't touch it, had to go to an orthopedic surgeon and get it drained, and go on some heavy-duty antibiotics.
My season should start this Saturday, we'll see.
