Coyote, I first had my eyes on a 500 Pioneer but got some negative (but needed) feedback on it and I wanted something for narrower 4 whlr trails.
Life sort of interrupted me on this for a while but I’m about to get back on track with it in earnest.
Edited to add: Coyote, look back several weeks on this forum and you can see the 500 Pioneer comments that were given. Btw, I sure agree on that 700 Pioneer, it’s a beast in its own right.

The degree of my privacy is no business of yours.
What we've learned from history is that we haven't learned from it.
I have a 2014 Can-Am 650. I love it. Zero problems. Tons of power. There are LOTS of ATVs here. Big clubs, lots of trails. Most of the guys run Can-Ams.
I've got a 2012 yellow Can-Am Outlander 1000XT, I think it is. Nice bike. I replaced an older Honda Foreman 400 with the Can-Am. Anyone remeber which key is the "hotter" key? The gray or the black?
My g8-g8 uncle was Barney Riggs. Google and read about him. He roamed around the southwest, mainly west Tx and Az and NM territory. History credits him with from 9 - 12 men he killed, not counting Mexicans and Indians. Family lore has it at 18.

The black one gives you all throttle response and 100% power.
Be careful. They aren't a 400......

On some poor advise from my friend, hunting buddy, drinking buddy, and sales manager at the local toy shop. I bought a Can-Am Outlander last fall. It's fast, comfortable, rides nice. But it's been in the shop for 3 recalls and it has 104 miles on it. It will be a year old in September.
Did you get the recall on the fuel tank vent line?
That was my incident....close call....if the engine had been hot, I'd have been burned badly.

No, not yet. I guess I have that to look forward to!
