Charles Huckaba of Odessa, Texas shot a Sporter Class World Record. He shot a 5 group, 5 shot agg. of .1449 at 100 yards. Record had stood since 1985.
Equipment specifics are:
6 PPC
Bat action in Scoville stock
Bartlein 13.8 twist barrel
March scope
Lapua cases filled with 29.2 gr of 133 topped off with Charle's 68gr BT bullet

What defines the sporter class, is it the same as LV class?

Thanks Used to be the same, but no caliber less than the 6mm. I believe they opened it up somewhat a couple years ago to spark a little innovation. Charles and 99% of the guys still shoot their 6PPC LV rifles.
