I have made 2 trips to the range with my T/C pro hunter in 25-06
loaded with H-4831SC and the 100 gr. TSX and my best group is 1 1/2 inches for 3 shots. Most of the groups average 4 inches plus, put I will get 1 group out of 4 that is 1 1/2 inches.

I have loaded them .03 & .05 off the lands and for the most part
the accuracy sucks. My rifles throat is "short" so I may try seating deeper to .07.

Should I try H-4350??? Maybe my rifle does not like H-4831 is that is possible for a 25-06.

Or it doesn't like TSX's. That's more likely than H4831. I prefer R22 but pretty much same-same.
H4350 is good.. 53-54 grains.

I know others have reported they can get close the lands and get results, but I haven't found that to be the case. Seating depth of .05 - .07 has worked well for me. At .03 - .05" I lost accuracy and had pressure signs earlier, bumped to .05 -.07" and the pressure signs went away and accuracy improved.

My current 7 rem mag load is 140tsx, 68.5gr RL22, 215GMM, RP case and seated .06" out - no pressure signs and .7 average at 100. Maybe not laser stuff but works well for Moose and Elk. *** Caution this load is now considered over max according the Barnes recently released TSX Data via their website. ***

Have you checked the crown for burrs? I was having this problem with mine until I did some crown work. You could actually see the burrs with the necked eye.

If H4831 won't work in a 25-06, check out something else. It may not give quite the velocity of RL22, but it's ALWAYS accurate. Try a different bullet.

I agree with all those posting that powder does not generally lead to significant accuracy improvement. I would look more closely at the rifle, scope, trigger, etc. A second bullet would also be prudent, I have a box of bullets that doesn't shoot in a proven accurate rifle.

H4350 seems to me to be a better burn rate than the slower H4831SC. I'll admit my chronograph is much better at selecting powders than I am.

My experience with Barnes bullets is- they either shoot well in any given rifle I own, or they don't.

I would try some Noslers, Hornadys, etc. before getting too concerned about rifle, scope, seating depth, powders, etc. to see if there is any immediate improvement.

That process has saved me a lot of time and grief in finding an accurate load.
