There is the Second Amoskeag Auction today for a great Ruger No1 Collection, many Rare No1's including a one of one known.

Not even a real auction since it doesn't have a single Ballard offered

The Prices were sure not as high as I expected so a few smart guys got some great deals. The only one known BHT 30-06 went for 2 grand and a AHS 280 for $2300.00.
They won't come up again in my lifetime so someone is sure going to see the enjoyment of caretaker of those Rifles, maybe they will Display them at a show in the future.

it is hard to get a good price at an auction these days when you have to mentally calculate the buyer premium, package and shipping while bidding again people who lack the grey matter to do the same. I dont know what a BHT or AHS. I guess that means, I dont care.

Clearly I need to quit dithering and buy the early rifle I know about...

Actually, I did buy the early rifle

s/n 29XX BB 26" in 6mm Remington. No box, no rings. Guess I'll need to find a set of early vertical split rings

At the same dealer is a 7XXX BB .22-250 with NICE wood, and a Cabelas .30-40, also with nice wood, if anyone else is interested
