No doubt Nike sells LOTS if shoes, but about the last thing seen at an actual running event is a Nike running shoe.

Michael Jordan earns more money from Nike every year than all the company’s Malaysian workers combined

Michael Jordan is among one of the best basketball players the world has ever seen. Not only has he earned six titles with the Chicago Bulls, his total earnings of $90 million speak of his worth. One fact that has been viral on the internet is that Michael Jordan earns more dollars from footwear company Nike every year than the entire Nike factory workers in Malaysia.

According to a new report, Nike fully understood the beehive it would stir by making Colin Kaepernick the face of its “Just Do It” campaign, but decided to do it anyway because the company’s fan base is “significantly urban.”

According to TMZ the move to put national anthem protester Colin Kaepernick on its 30th anniversary “Just Do It” ad campaign was a “shrewd business move,” which was also “part cultural.”

A source inside Nike told TMZ that the company fully understood millions of Americans would be upset with the choice of putting Kaepernick on the ad. However, the company reckoned that since most of its customer base is black, it would be a financial benefit in the long run.

Can't believe the left is going to allow code words.

"Urban fan base" is a way of saying "blacks".

Seems a bit racist.

Saw Santana years ago. He addressed the audience in Spanish the entire time. I haven’t cared for him since.

I don't buy tenny pumps of any kind, just don't like 'em.

But, Nike understands their market and will do very well by the kaeprdink line.

I think nike is thinking global. They think the world that hates the U.S is the bigger market than the white conservative demographic. They are probably right.

I didn't expect their move to make a major impact - Nike doesn't make work boots.

Biggest on stage poser of all time.

Saw Jeff Beck group open for him once. Big mistake Carlos. Jeff is the real deal and I didn't stay for much of ole Carlos.

That is based on Nike being quoted saying that.

Shrap,

If you want to call Woods Urban go ahead.

Nikes' sales have been down last 3-4 quarters.

Generating controversy always gets attention.

There are more of them than us.

Yes , Nike will lose sale from old white guys, but, there are more of them than us.

I wish I watched football or Spook tag ....so I could quit 'em.

I don't like it either ....but, it don't matter.

Nike is also expanding a lot in the Middle East, Arab youths are into the hip hop style culture. Kaepernick looks like them and the hate America theme obviously plays well there.

This ad campaign is a middle finger at traditional American values but most of Nike’s customers are America hating thugs so in the end it’ll probably turn out to be a brilliant move. The stock price drop is minor and most likely temporary.

If your a middle aged white guy Nike is basically saying to you that we don’t care about your business because you don’t buy enough of our products to matter, they’ll more than make up for it by selling to people that hate you.
