State to state variations in Reloading has changed dramatically.

How are component sales being regulated in California now?

They are not. This place is a half hour drive for me but worth it for powder and primers. Most bullets and brass, I buy online.
Maybe a little more than in some places but they never had a H4350 draught.

Ha! Guessing he meant drought. Phillips is where I also go for powder and primers locally. Also has good prices on Missouri Bullets. Has most everything I need for handloading. He doesn't ship tho. Walk in store. Great store for shotgun loaders.

How far do you So Cal guys have to go to shoot now days?

62 miles...but before that and about 10 years ago it was about 47 miles. I live in a city...so gotta get pretty far out to go rifle shooting.

Indoor range is only 10 miles away though.

Used to be 1/2 hour. Now, about 45 minutes. Pretty decent range. Offers shotgun, rifle and handgun ranges. Not bad for So-Cal.
Feel lucky to have what we do. Most of you guys are way more fortunate. Really like shooting when I'm in Rexburg. Nice range.

How are component sales being regulated where you live?

Here we have no problems other than perhaps higher sales tax than other places, higher overhead in some locations, perhaps even higher labor costs. But I still see powder, primers, and bullets on the shelves and found a store in the "big city" where the Costco is that carries real black powder even.

I shot in my backyard yesterday, but I'm in Nor Cal.

The only thing I'd be 'loading' if I resided in California would be my furniture into a moving van!!

I hear Kali will let you reload, but only if you use marshmallows for projectiles, houses in a chocolate case, jelly as a propellant, and tic tacs as primers. Stolen from a memo on Diane Feinsteins desk :-).

32 miles if I go to the range in Piru takes about 45 minutes or there is one 45 miles east I use when I am out that way.

I’m smack in the middle of the Bay Area and have 3 nice rifle/pistol ranges within 30 minutes. Closest is about 15.
