Looking at a first year Marlin 1893, 38-55 standard barrel. All original sights and serial numbers. Good bore. Need help by more informed board members as to going prices for one of these. Condition around 70%-75% as far as case hardening, blue and wood. Thanks in advance.

Very similar, except the one I am looking at has the standard 26" round barrel.

There was a take down octagon in Hutchinson Minnesota. Bore was about a 7, finish less than fireballs 30/30. Nice tight takedown.

There was $ 1200 on the sticker. Lasted a week, then it was gone. I don't know final selling price. I think it was a good deal.

That’s about what I thought. Just about any 1800’s lever action in useable condition ought to be worth a thousand dollars.
