I really want a BLR in 450 Marlin, takedown, with a pistol grip. I'm just not a fan of the straight '81 stock.

Does anyone know if such a unicorn was ever made?

To my knowledge Browning makes the new LT WT BLR in 450 with a pistol grip stock. They are certainly available used on GB from time to time. I've had several in other calibers and almost bought a 450 PG stocked rifle once but couldn't see any difference ballistically from my 45-70 Marlin so I didn't purchase it.
Check it out

I did pick up a new to me BLR PG in 450 Marlin. I would have preferred a takedown, but, you get what you get and couldn't find one with a PG. I'm not sure one was made in 450 Marlin.

This trigger isn't the worst BLR I've handled, but it needs a little work. Any pointers on who in the US might do such work?

Any pointers are appreciated.

I don't think the Takedown was ever made with a pistol grip. If so, I'd like one.

Steelhead, thanks for the link. Too bad they are not in production. I wonder when they were. I bought the stainless model in 308 Win in 2011... hopefully there wasn't a stainless Takedown with pistol grip in 308 Win at the time since that's what I wanted - maybe I overlooked it.

Rodell, hopefully you're enjoying your new rifle.

Neil is the man when it comes to BLR triggers after Browning service worked on my trigger it was 7 lbs and did not fire every third round. Neil got it to smooth 3.5 lbs and it fired every time!

The only other 450 Marlin takedown is the Win 94 Trails End (straight stock). Slightly more than the Browning, but nice quality. I believe all the Win lever guns are made now at the Miroku plant famous for all the Browning lever action replicas. Not sure why the Browning BLR is considered in a 450 Marlin as I believe it is throated for std SAAMI cartridge length, therefore utilizing .458 spitzer bullets is probably out of the question. I could wrong, but see nothing gained by using BLR platform and that cartridge other than personnel preference. I myself would prefer the Winchester, however beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The BLR PG was made, try Buds Gun Shop, currently showing out of stock. You could see if the can locate one on back order. https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog...TWEIGHT+TAKEDOWN+W%2F+PISTOL+GRIP+450MAR
