The natives are calling for no moose hunt this year from McLeod Lake to Williams Lake. They will be enforcing thru patrols checking camps and roadblocks. I've been thru this several time logging. Straight up speaking from experience these are some nasty people don't play with them too much or they will get squirrely.

Just be careful watch out for your property and most importantly don't disrespect them. It's tough but best way for peaceful outcome. I can hardly wait.

They have no legal authority to "check anyones camp" so at this point its could be considered "vigilantism" if its crown land, and most of it is the rest is "private property"

Of course they have no legal right. But when 2 crew cabs show up at your camp with ten people jumping out telling you to get out of their territory I'd take that seriously. They won't listen to reason. I've played this game for years.

Just a heads up nothing more. Myself I really don't give a flying [bleep] I'm hunting moose.

Sounds like Moose hunters better sew their nuts on and get out there.

So where are the RCMP in all of this?

You are out there with a legal tag, legally hunting on crown land. My suggestion is to document everything using cell phone video and then get in touch with the RCMP. Make an issue out of it or risk losing access to crown land forever.

I've written to my MLA about this. I'm still waiting for a reply.
