Looking to see who has experience with both and can steer me one way or the other. I like a 2.5 pound pull and my use will be strictly hunting from stands and blinds in the southeast. And if trigger tech would it be the standard or the special based on wanting 2.5 pound. Looks like they both have ranges that cover 2.5

Trigger Tech all day long. Super crisp break with little creep. At least on the one's I have. Also easier to adjust. The standard should be fine for the 2.5 lb. pull weight you like.

I have several Trigger Tech triggers. I will be buying more.

I've only had one Timney - it was the one with the thinner trigger shoe and I really liked it, thought it was one of the better triggers I've ever used. Then I got my first TriggerTech - the primary one. Anyway, its by far the best "hunting" trigger I've used IMHO. My only small complaint and its hardly a complaint is that the safety lever seems a bit long?? Sticks up maybe a fraction higher than say a factory trigger or others. But again I'd say I was grasping for something to fault:)

Given a 2.5 lb pull I woukd just send the factory trigger to Neil Jones for a tune up. $80 all up.

Look at the Huber triggers. I have one Huber and multiple Timneys and the Huber is twice the trigger.

Mine is a two stage, and I love it.

I have both Triggertech and Timney. The Triggertech seemed much easier to install, so that's the one I will use in the future! Either trigger pull feels better than factory triggers to me.

I have 2 Timneys set at 2.5 lbs and 1 TriggerTech standard set at 2.5 lbs. I have another TriggerTech on the way in a custom but not here yet.

I like them all fine. I also have a Jewell set at 1.5 lbs and a Winchester factory open trigger set at 3.5 lbs.

I like the concept of the TriggerTech which is why I ordered the 2nd one. And the first one is crisp. But if I had a hard time finding a TriggerTech I would use a Timney no problem.

I just installed a Trigger Tech and a Timney on 2 of my rifles this year. For some reason the Trigger Tech trigger was too long and was hitting the triggerguard and not allowing you to recock the firing pin. The trigger had to ground down a little to make it work. I’ve never heard of anyone else having this issue before though. It works great now. I did take the Timney and Trigger Tech out and shot them back to back. They are both great triggers. I just can’t recommend one over the other. I’d get the one you can find the cheapest.

I have both. Honestly, I really don't notice much difference between the two.

I've never used Trigger Tech. I've had great luck with Timney Triggers.

Flip a coin here. The last three have been Trigger Tech but I'm partial to Timney as well.
Points go to the TT for easy adjustment.

Not a bad choice here, I like the deep curved trigger shoe on the Timney but I like the super easy adjustability on the Trigger Tech......Hb

Steyr pro hunter has one of the crispest triggers I have ever had, I cannot tell you the number of shooters that have tried it and said the same thing. The TT on my mesa is right there.

I’ve got three Trigger Techs (two specials and a standard). They great. The solid back wall is a little different at first, but all in all, they’re an incredible value. That said, I’ve got a rifle enroute with a Bix N Andy Tac Sport on it. It’ll be my first. I’ve wanted to try one since they were introduced but, short supply and timing deprived me until now.
