Since the Barrett looks to be a no go.
Came across this

Preorder now - but will have lefty models.

I like the idea of rem700 footprint. And i have an Excalibur 6.5cm small shank savage barrel already to fit it.

Any opinions? On sale now for pre order.

Bighorn makes high quality actions and the ability to use a profit barrel is nice.

Tl3 doesn't have much if anything on the Origin. They knocked it out of the park on this one. If I didn't just get a TL3 I'd be all over it.

I was thinking of building 223. Maybe I’ll pick one of these up. Thanks for the link.

Action shipped today. Happy birthday to me.

Budget 6.5 cm DIY build.

Bighorn origin.
Hs Precision used stock
Triggertech trigger
SWfa scope
X-caliber 22” barrel with radial brake - no need to time.

Going to try the Magpul polymer dbm.

Now for some rings.

This is an interesting option. May give this a go.

Pinned rail
floating/changeable bolt face
toolless firing pin removal
firing pin won't need bushed
tolerances so tight your gunsmith doesn't need the action to headspace
fits Rem 700 stocks with minor fitting (ejection port)
uses Rem 700 aftermarket triggers (huge selection)
Controlled Round Feed
Fixed blade ejector
threaded changeable bolt knobs
Salt bath nitride finish

I'm probably forgetting something, but you get the idea.

It's a really good deal.
