Hey, I've heard of the "HURRY UP ICE CREAM" chili, good stuff!

I am by no means an expert on snow, thank God. I will say this with all authority though, anybody who says they love snow don't have to work in it. They may strap barrel staves on their feet and play at exotic ways of fracturing portions of their anatomy or stick their nose out of the house and exclaim how beautiful it is and then go back and sit by the fire but they don't have to work in the nasty, cold, wet suff.
That is just what it is too, nasty, wet and cold. If you have to be out in it fighing to do what you got to do in the way of making a living it just ain't a lot of fun. When you are trying your level best to keep an old cow's belly stuffed with enough feed to keep the internal fires burning and knock the hump out of their backs and knock enough holes in the ice so they can drink fun is about the futherest thing there is from your mind. Having your britches frozen to the saddle is not my idea of fun, thank you very much.
As I said I am no expert on snow but a few times in my life I have had to be out in it when I sure didn't want to be. Two things that I don't care if I never see again in my life are snow and an Arkansas lawyer as president.

BCR,
Well they say that there are exceptions to the rule, and I am one of em. My work involves being out in the snow patrolling on foot with a rifle every day. I reckon it aint no different than someone who grows up in the warm climates and loves the heat. Personally, I can't stand the heat. It get above 80 degrees and I'm looking for a hidey hole. But hey, to each his own right? Tell you what, I'll keep the snow and change of seasons and you can have all the 90+ degree days. Deal?

Woke up to a balmy 22 degrees this mornin'. Damn warm for here in January. This is -30 season. Rainin' today in Jackson. Can you believe that? Rainin' in late January in NW Wyomin'. I don't know if its global warmin', but we need snow, not rain. Last year we got 60% of the normal snow pack, and we're down 30% from last year! This will be the 5th year of drought for us. Historically, the egg haids say that droughts last 3 or 4 years 'round here. Weird weather all winter.
