Leupie VX-R 3-9x40 mounted on an X-Bolt Medallion 300 H&H using Browning's "X-Bolt - Integrated Scope Mount System" (which appear to be Talley lightweights with 8 screws...) Browning website claims the Medallion barrel is a sporter contour (barrel seems a heavier contour than that to me but this is my first Browning) and states the standard height rings (.4") are good up to 44mm obj bell...

will the scope hold up to 300 H&H recoil?

I have a 2-7 VXR and 3-9 VXR Patrol. I've had both of them on my 338 Federal with no problems. The 3-9 is on it now. I know 300 H&H will kick more but mine have help up with no issues.

I had the VX-R 3-9 on my 300 Wby with no issues. I only changed it to a VX-6 2-12 for a little more top end.

I have one on a 300 WSM, it’s about the same recoil. No problems.

Great scope - mines going on a 444marlin shooting 300gr. bullets , has help up well on a model seven 308win. but of coarse that's not high recoil .

I have the 2-7 VX-R with the German #4 on a current production Winchester M-70 Alaskan 375 H&H.
So far about 30 rounds of 300 grain loads through it. It's almost too easy on hundred yard shots. That scope is awesome.
I'm going to put another 100 rounds down range before I take it on my once in a lifetime African safari.

Have a 4-12 on a 450 Bushmaster that I run to about 460 S&W speeds. Great scope
