I have NEVER stayed up to watch an election result until 2016

It was GREAT to see then and it is still GREAT to watch over and over and over.

Thanks for the good Laugh. Again

I love a happy ending. It needed more footage of crying from the left.

I stayed up. For some reason I thought I was going to see the train wreck of the felon winning the election. Then, bit by bit Don started getting more and more electoral votes. When there was a shot he was going to win FL, I had to watch. The meltdown on MSM was epic.

I love it! Play it again I can't get enough.

I was in a truck stop in west Texas that night, parked the truck at 10 pm eastern time and sat up drinking beer and listening on Sirius until after 2 am. I have Fox, NBC, and CNN on the Sirius, I didn't listen to Fox just went back and forth between MSNBC and CNN. It was great!
I'd listen to Chris Matthews whine, then switch over and listen to Wolf Blitzer whine, then switch back and listen to Rachel Maddow cry.
Couldn't get enough of it.

On the video above, the guy on the left of the panel is Josh Mankeiwicz. He does the intro on the movies on AMC. I really like him in that role, he introduces no politics on AMC, so I didn't know he was a lib, not surprising though.

Ahh...thanks for the memory!

I remember there was this gun I had been pondering on Gunbroker, but just kept holding off. When it was evident Donald Trump was in, I logged on and bought the rifle on the spot I knew there would be an immediate and profound stock market rally. Rifle didn't cost me a cent, and I call it Donald in his honor.

Most folks around here were very happy, but I guess we were all deplorables. Sure was a morning to rejoice...it was like having two Christmas mornings in one year!

Refusing to watch TV that night, I was on da innanet when I saw a blurd that Florida had been called for Trump. I thought to myself, "OMG, we have a chance." I switched to the TV until the result was assured and then watched the Democrats non-concession and all the lib talking heads. It was a wonderful evening and largely (bigly) has turned out better than I could have hoped.

Watch that and you will see why they are all so crazy now. They humiliated themselves in front of the world. Egoes need payback.

I stayed up that night refreshing the page for the prediction algorithm that the NYT (of all things) had front-and-center, and watching as it changed with states reporting. From watching the algorithm output, their contractor had actually done a really good job.

Pennsylvania (IIRC) was what tipped it over. It was awesome to watch. And then I think Michigan may have totally locked it down. I bet they wished it wasn't doing such a good job by that point...

Saw it. A few times. It was the same thing all over the networks and much of the internet. The only ones happy were the ones watching it all from home.
Honestly, has entertainment ever been so satisfying?

I was working on a platform in the Gulf of Mexico in 6000ft of water. It was amazing how many of the guys that had worked twelve hours that day just could'nt hit the rack. The Meeting/TV room was jammed up full of hard working oil field men and women who were cheering everytime they called another state for DJT. It was a night I'll never forget!

I was in Beaumont over at Dresser/Ideco building land rigs for a couple years. I was real close to going down to Houma to sign up for offshore. Long time ago.
