Been noticing there's some things I can't eat much of anymore, for one reason or another. Milk/cheese and bread are the biggies. Should I go talk to an allergist or ?? You guys dealing with anything?
My diet has expanded.... I no longer even get indigestion when eating Italian....dairy??? Never had a problem....Next month I'll be 67. It seems the older I get, the more I crave peppers cooked in my food...
The DI was ahead of his time on dietary nutrition:

"No bread, no corn, no pie/cake/desserts of any kind, no whole milk, no beans, no butter, no sugar, no potato's/candy/ice cream/salad dressings or peanut butter!"
"To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical."-- Thomas Jefferson
In the past few weeks I've lost over thirty pounds by giving up carbs. That's all I did aside from intermittent fasting. Haven't worked out or changed my daily routine. Just the dietary aspect...
I'm 64 but I have no restrictions on anything and can still easily do what I want so far as health goes. I get the polyps though. They've gotten 1 both times I've had a colonoscopy and they said the last one was some nasty kind. Now I'm down to having to go every 3 years. Colonoscopies are nobody's favorite but I had no idea there was a little assassin growing in there and I don't want to go out like that. I'll keep doing what the doctor says.
After all these years back up north I still make everything hot. I got real used to slingin' snot and sufferin' in Texas but nobody up here eats hot food, just me and my brother in law. Now I never get my hot fix unless one of us cooking for just us. I remember slicing up habaneros and/or similar chiles, sauteing(?) those with onions, some bacon or sausage and other spices and topping hamburgers with burning death mix. What joy. I'm down to Cholula and Melinda's now but I don't have any plumbing problems so I ain't giving them up.

When you argue with an idiot nobody can tell the difference.
Fireball2: At age 48 I self diagnosed the reason my intestines were bleeding to be somehow directly related to my intake of milk! I had drunk milk all my life and in large quantities until around age 47 when I began bleeding and becoming nauseous when I drank a glass of milk. I quit the milk - then the bleeding and nausea quit. About every 3 years I try some icey cold milk with a sandwich or a piece of pie and the symptoms return for a day or two. Other than that I pretty much eat and drink what I want. I look at anything with carbs in it and my blood sugar goes up. Eating mostly salads and proteins these days. Very little bread, and I gave up potatoes all together.

Well we're Green and we're Gold, and we play better when it's cold. All us Cheese heads have our favorite superstar. We love Brett Favre.
~~~Walkin' down new streets the music is loud Neon signs bring in tumultuous crowds But he's just an old man, he'd probably get sore And he don't drink,... Jack Daniel's no more
What does it matter anymore? Had to give up all you can eat pizza and pitchers of beer by age 35. Now you guys want me to give up milk and potatoes?
Seriously, cutting back on starches does make me feel better, look better, and the doc just says to keep doing what I am doing. I think I'll have a glass of whiskey...
