Ohio bar loses liquor license when food stamps are used to buy drugs, lap dances By Paulina Dedaj | Fox News
An adult-entertainment bar in Ohio lost its liquor license this week after officials learned that food stamps were being used to pay for drugs and lap dances.
Sharkey’s Lounge had its liquor permit revoked on Thursday after investigators with the Ohio Liquor Control Commission found that undercover agents were able to purchase drugs and lap dances using food stamp benefits, The Dayton Daily News reported.
During a five-month investigation, agents exchanged more than $2,400 in food stamps for heroin, fentanyl, carfentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine -- and lap dances.
Criminal charges were filed against employees and patrons of Sharkey’s, including drug and food stamp trafficking and illegal sexual activity, WLWT reported.
This is the second adult entertainment bar that has lost its liquor permit from the Ohio Liquor Control Commission over evidence of similar illicit activity.
In N.Y.C. ,they have signs in the windows,"we take e.b.t. & w.i.c.",but,for hair weaves, bodegas, dollar stores, etc.i thought is was for poor people to buy food, not junk.guess not.
There are at least 6 songs, with people singing about that free money.

the only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker, is observation. all the same data is present for both. The rest, is understanding what you're seeing.
Back when I was a rookie (1985-86) the local Palestinian carry outs in the hood were busted for buying food stamps for cash. 50 cents on the dollar. Now they have what they call the "Ohio direction card". It is used like a debit card. They say it's less embarrassing for the welfare repents. Make em work for it and drug test them!

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. Orwell

The move with the debit card is to give card holders a shopping list, then buy the goods from them in the parking lot for some fraction of the receipt total.
Seems that no matter what method the local, state, and federal governments come up with to dispense their freebies, it always gets abused somehow, someway. But they keep on doing it over and over. Drug testing and a few other measures would be a good start but they always resist doing that sort of stuff. What does that tell you?
This article is a logical result of the 'free money' mentality that ridiculous levels of .gov assistance have brought us. Propagandists and recipients dress it up as noble altruism and pc sensitivities demand that it be shoved down your throat. Welcome to the politician's wet dream. Nasty bastards have gotten away with doing whatever they want to beat out the sane vote and get themselves a commie career. And to the delight of even nastier bastards you've been made to pay for it. That part will of course continue and get worse.
Hopefully we'll continue to recognize it and our current movement of sanity grows. I'm proud to say that I'll again vote for President Trump.
When you argue with an idiot nobody can tell the difference.

Around here we have these joints called Papa Murphy's Pizza
They make a 'gormet' take-n-bake pizza you carry home and cook it yourself.
They got the big blinkie sign "we accept EBT". WTF $12-20 for a specialty pizza made to order
Sounds like a luxury-convenience item my opinion. Not a staple or necessity.
They are uncooked.
What do you think "take n bake" means?
I did not say bake n take
The point of mention was that, it's absurd (my opinion) to blow ebt credit on an item such as a custom made to order raw pizza.
It fits the criteria for allowable but just not the wisest thing I would believe to budget a person's allowance on for survival and basic staples. But who am I, I know of a bunch in town that pool their ebt and buy pork shoulders, bbq them and drive around to businesses and deliver plate lunches and sandwiches. Quite an enterprising scheme to turn that into a 4-fold gain.
