LOL! Richard and I had a long discussion about them last summer! Never ate one! Then ranch foremans wife in colorado made a Pie one night for dessert ( I think with peaches!) while I was up there working. It was down in the food thread! Interesting pie.

Top dress them with composted manure and give plenty water and a sunny exposure.

Lots of ways to enjoy rhubarb.

My grandmother made the best strawberry rhubard pie in the whole world, I remember cutting and washing rhubarb and picking strawberrys for her, just to get her to make me a pie. Rio7

My favorite food now is the Strawberry/Rhubarb pie that the local supermarket sells here. My late mother used to make rhubarb pie for me!

If you know someone with plants the best thing is to split the plant w a spade.

You get some ready to go and theirs gets room to grow.

Rhubarb pie is a staple. Plain rhubarb, strawberry rhubarb, and even sweet cherry rhubarb once (actually pretty good).

You used to be able to find "pie plant" still growing around old logging camp sites in the northeast from the early logging operations. Don't know if you still can - haven't looked for a long time.
