You know something Jwall,it is shot placement and bullet performance. Name, twist, caliber, scope,BC,SD etc... is just pole vaulting over tick turds cause the animal has no idea what it died by.

Yes, Elks, for the 'majority' of hunters and the 'majority' of kills - which are w/in 200 yds - MANY cartridges are capable.

Here's the 'midget' !! ->-> stolen from prm. blush

J that pic is of PRM’s Creedmoor round.

I’m shooting 120 N B T @ 3000 FPS. in my 70 Swede. I plan to adjust scope & sight in tomorrow.
The N B Ts have received rave reviews. This will be my first time to try them.
I killed several WT with WW 140 PPs.

Good Luck with the Scenar’s.

The 7.3 Powerstroke was one of their best diesel engines, so good they had to "improve" it. And they had a few bloopers along the way, I think the new one is OK.

Except the new diesels have all those sensors that are a pain. A good bud in the cattle business had a new Dodge diesel. He said those dash lights were always going off. One day the dash board lit up like a Christmas tree and that thing left him in the field; it shut down. He sold it and got a gasser Ford, 4 dr with aluminum bed for Gooseneck trailers. He said it gives around 13 mpg empty, 7-8 pulling. But it's not left him stranded. I see long time diesel owners going back to gas.

Those older diesels bring a premium and for a reason. That one in pristine shape is worth a bunch, as you well know.

Keep it up and drive it. I've seen them going strong with 400K miles. Yours is very low mileage.

Thanks for posting.

It will run even better once you brake it in.

Finally back on track, lets see some more good loads for the 6.5s. I am shooting 51.5 grains R26 Lapua brass, WLRI primer in the Swede at about 2,950 fps and I reckon it will kill a deer or two this season as it did last. One field dressed at 180 lbs. which is a bruiser for a hill country deer.
