Pork cutlets floured, browned, and finished in the oven, baked potatoes, and a vegetable mix - sliced carrots, celery, and yellow onion, cut-up stems of bok choy and Napa cabbage cooked to tenderness, at the end added chopped leaves of bok choy and the leafy parts of the cabbage, along with some spinach leaves were added - just added salt and pepper at the table to some and soy sauce to some other - both good.

I haven't had fresh Salmon in a couple of years even though the best Salmon run in ID takes place a couple hundred yards from my front door Geno.

My Vet friend used to bring me a fillet or three now and then but he fell in love (or something crazy ) so I haven't seen much of him lately.

I need a new friend.........that Salmon fishes...

I can only wish this was fresh FG,

I found it in the back of the freezer.................dated Sept.................................................2017 shocked

Wrapped well it was quite edible.

No salmon this far up the river. Doubt they mad it this far up the Pit, even before they put in Shasta Dam. If they did, they'd have been pretty dark by the time they reached us.

Geno

PS Maybe you can make friends with wageslave, him and Otis go fishing pretty regular. You'll have to put up with him though. grin

No. I used a 9x9 pyrex dish.

Put the masa balls between two sheets of saran wrap and pressed with the baking dish.

I have made tortillas many times out of corn meal, which requires eggs, corn starch and milk.

These little beauties are nothing but masa flour and warm water!

I was at the Wall Mart and found a bag of Quaker Masa Harina. None of the local stores carried it.

Tonight was flank steak tacos.

Home made shells out of the Masa Harina that I bought. Simple directions......wonderful flavor.

Will never buy a corn tortilla again.

Looking good Jim. Homemade corn tortillas are the best !

Just wait till you taste the difference with fresh homemade flour tortillas.

After some google-foo I just discovered that while I don't have any Masa I do have everything on hand to make flour tortillas so I'm about to find out if that's true tomorrow morning. I'm betting it is.
