Winchester 1873 in 22 Long. Ruffed grouse, once through the head... That’s awesome! Never seen a 73 rimfire!

If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

And a pawnshop rescue. New Haven Classic in 30-06, G-prefix 5-digit SN, Bansner stock. Got it for less than the cost of the action and added the Leupold VX-R 3-9x40 with Ballistic Firedot reticle. Winchester factory 180-grain PowerPoints chronograph at exactly 2,700 fps, which is gratifying. The money-shot paint job has since been covered up with matte finish olive drab Krylon. There's a marked shortage of fence posts in my life these days. I need to do something about that. Okie John

Nice Creed Shrapnel!
Looks like you've got some rust started on that bolt shroud.
Creeds commonly rust there, so maybe don't worry about it.
Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

This morning
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

Beautiful rig. Who made it, Shrap?

Beautiful rig. Who made it, Shrap? Built by Maurice (Mac) McCain who worked for Paul Jaeger. Mauser action, Douglas Supreme barrel, Bastogne Walnut stock, Niedner buttplate and grip cap, Ebony forend and Timney trigger. It was built in 1980 and had never been fired other than test firing until I got it...
