This was a bit of work. For whatever reason, this DBM refused to work when installed at the draft height on the bottom of the stock. The magazine hung almost a full .06" below the bottom of the bolt circle. So, out came the part. I modeled the original and added material, then machined a new one from scratch. This created its own set of issues. The notched step below the release had to be lowered. Thankfully, it all paid off. The rifle runs a Magpul 10rd exceptionally well. Very, very smooth running gun!

That rifle topped with a 2.5-10x42 NXS, would be the ultimate sheep rifle in my book.

I'm not much of a rifle "looks" guy....but that brown camo and the finish on it trips my trigger.

Great looking rifle and build!!!

I'm not familiar with the McMillan Rem HTR stock (HTR - Hunter?). That almost looks like the Remington Compact Edge pattern.

Chad,
Really like that build - well done!! But I'm with the other poster - not to disagree with you but based on the pictures that sure looks like the McMillan Hunters Edge ultra-light stock. The Remington Hunter has a cheekpiece which I think that stock doesn't look like it has one. Regardless, that's a nice build and super camo paint job!!

You are probably right. I get them confused all the time and constantly have to jump online to sort which is what...

Thanks for the kind words gents. The Huntin n killin stuff has seen a big surge with us as of late. Good times.

Who is the woman in the back ground with her fingers in her ears? Maybe she has heard too much about this rifle?

Cool rifle.

Really nice rifle and build. I guess I’ll be the dissenter and say that I’m not sure I consider 6.9 pounds to be a lightweight, but damn fine regardless.
