Jazus, did someone say homesteaders were welfare folk? My grandad would be rolling over in his grave over on Frenchman creek if'n he heard that. It's too bad that Tester can't just be a Montanan'n instead of a democrat.

I'll be voting against Tester. If we had not sent him to DC we would not have Obamacare. That one law he passed was a loss of liberty and it has cost my family thousands in additional premiums to buy what used to be "catastrophic" insurance. As someone who had always kept my family insured I now pay far more for worse insurance. If I ran against him every ad would be Tester with Obama, citing our one provider BCBS increases with the word "TESTERCARE." I don't care where Rosywhatever is from. Good people and bad people are born all over the place. I'm not sure which he is, but I know that Tester gave us Obamacare which was the greatest theft of freedom in a very long time. As for birth place, several of the best people I know out here are from MN and ND--they moved here because they love the place and not as an accident of birth. I don't hold that against them; we could use more like them.

This SCOTUS circus is just more piss in the cereal but I wouldn't vote for Tester either way for reasons stated. It is sick to watch though. You know the Democrats may not have been given an enemy with Justice Thomas but they sure created one. Same with Kav. I wouldn't worry about him moving to the left the way that Kennedy did. There's an interesting topic--why has Justice Kennedy not been interviewed? I would love to hear that man's opinion on this confirmation.

As an aside, my grandfather was a WWII vet (B29 pilot who went MIA for a time) and he was a farmer. He was about the most conservative fellow you could meet but he voted straight ticket Democrat at every election for as long as I knew him. His wife of 64 years voted straight ticket Republican. They never missed a vote. His reasoning was the farm bill and I suspect the reforms of FDR--the Dem's bought his vote and he was their loyal constituent. The racist old codger never lived to see the 08 election but I expect he would have been pretty torn!

New to MT and can't fuggin fathom why anyone would want it to go socialist like today's Dems. Fugg that, get out and vote to salvage what's left of our country, not to make it worse. MAGA

Hey Bootboy, let’s hear your best defense of the leftie POS’s voting record.

You can start with ObamaCare and maybe throw in a few SC justices.

The greatest generation, my parents included, voted straight democrat because they were convinced that FDR brought us out of the depression when the truth was he extended it another seven years or so. Old superstitions die hard and some never do especially when they are taught in our schools.
