You could move the decimal to the left, and I still would pass.

Must be the same guy who told my buddy's dad his 99C in 308 was worth $2000. I told my buddy to sell it if they could get that price. Or even half. When he added that there were two extra mags I told him they would bring as much as the gun alone.

Might be after a Snickers. Unless she turns into a guy. Well, still might be.. for somebody else. I'm not judging.

My buddy's dad drove from MD to Kentucky to look at a 49 Ford convertible. He talked to the guy on the phone and he swore it was in "Great Shape", "For it's Age". Said it started and ran great. He could drive it home. When he got there, there were no floor boards, trunk pan was gone, no paint, no top. But it did start and run. If you let the clutch out it did move, but it had no brakes, so it didn't stop well. I think that rifle was under the rotted out back seat.

I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

Great shape for a t post driver.

That's even worse than my 99E in 22 HP. Although my gun has the same crack in the toe of the buttstock. It's repaired better than that one. David

36 pictures and full disclosure on the description, where is this guy trying to misrepresent that gun? You may not agree but he isn’t trying to fool anyone...

“Savage 99 .250-3000; pre-war; manufactured in 1926. In original un-restored condition. The rifle is in great shape giving its age. Bore looks excellent, and the stock has some cracks Please look at the pictures and ask questions before bidding.”

Shrapnel, it's the bit about "great shape for its age" that is amusing. It's not in great shape, for its age or any age. Yes the pics bear witness to its condition and thank goodness for that because like you infer, a fella can make a sound decision about purchasing it or not based on them. Were there no pics I would imagine a rifle in a lot better condition than what it is.

I understand that, and his idea of good shape and mine are 2 things, but maybe where he comes from it isn’t. That statement just doesn’t warrant the waste of time to try and change his mind.

If you want to see some junk, look up Tom Burness and see what he sells. There is a buyer for every gun, and I agree I’m not that buyer...
