I've been a big fan of Tikka rifles for many years now, I've shot factory offerings and built multiple custom rifles on Tikka actions. I've competed and won long range competitions with Tikka's and even took a 9.3x62 to Africa some years ago where it performed as Tikka's typically do. When I noticed Tikka offering a 6.5 Creedmoor in their 'lite' model I attempted to order one here in Australia. Strangely, Beretta decided not to import in the 24' barrel version of the lite and instead offered what they've termed the 'AUSTRALIAN SPECIAL EDITION' - as seen here:

Essentially it's a standard lite with a few minor additions (or subtractions as far as the barrel is concerned)

I recently collected the 20' version and dropped it in a Southfort Labs Carbon stock

As pictured with the Bushnell 4.5-18 LRTSi and Atlas Bipod it weighs 8.8lbs - load dev with 147gr ELD-M's planned next.

I like it, but admittedly, I am a fan of Tikka.

Love the looks of that DG. I've been shooting Tikkas for over 20 years now and share you affinity for them for sure. I sure wish that stock was available here......that's sweet! If you don't mind, what load did you wind up with for those 147's?

DG1969, that should be a fine shooter for you! My T3x loves the 147ELD w/ H4350. I'm curious, do you know the weight on that Southfort Labs stock?

I'm yet to work up a load - I'll start with H4350 and move over to RL16/26 if I can't get decent velocity.

Their website lists the weight as 1.3lbs - that's what it weighed when I received it - it's now bedded and has a pic rail mounted up front so it's a touch heavier - still quite a bit lighter than the factory stock. I believe the stocks are available through 'Stocky's' in the US - I'm very impressed with the one I have - compares very well with the Manners and McMillan stocks I have.
