Brethren,
I leave today for the Downriver Michigan area to visit with my wife's side of the family. The "real" purpose of the trip is to introduce them to my older daughter's fiance who is here from Dublin, but I would as soon introduce them to the Lord Jesus Christ, that great Shepherd of the sheep. Mom turns 87 in June, and Dad is coming up 89. They are both real nice folks, but neither has professed faith in the finished blood atonement of Jesus Christ on Calvary's cross.
I truly covet, in the strongest sense of the word, your prayers on their behalf, that the God of mercy, love and grace would send his Holy Spirit ahead of time to pave the way for the gospel of peace, and that the gospel would find a place of reception within their hearts.
Appreciate your intercessions for us in this light.
Brother Keith

With all my heart, Brother!

Bro Keith, my prayers join in agreement with all here for this.
Go knowing that it is His will that none be lost, that you are a preacher and are 'sent'.
Have no fear to simply speak to them plainly that our Lord has sent YOU so that this day they might receive and confess Christ as Lord and Savior. Let our Lord in you compel them in love to enter in..Jim

My prayers are with you Keith. My Dad is not a Christian and knows better, but will not change. I feel for you.

Trip down was long and arduous, but the Lord helped us cover the miles with no problems. 1,400 kilometres in 14.5 hours yesterday -- I'm getting too old for this! All are in good health, seemingly. Appreciate your prayers thus far. Keep pouring it on, Brothers. Thanks!

Back home today to -15*C and 8" of fresh snow. The Lord gave us safety, and for that we are thankful.
Had several good opportunities to give the gospel to some of the inlaws. Did not see any fruit, but the seed was sown, and we are still trusting the Lord for the germination.
Thank you all for praying.

Good effort...Family can be difficult to evangelize. I think Christ was on to something when he mentioned "that no prophet is accepted in his hometown."

I just began reading this thread, but I am praying for your in-laws. I pray that God will soften their hearts, and that they will have heard and understood your message to them.
