For sale is a very nice Remington 700 in 22BR. Originally chambered in 22-250, the barrel was set back at 400 rounds and re-chambered in 22BR with .252 neck. The action was blue-printed at the same time. The Remington trigger with bottom bolt release and safety is set at 2lbs-10oz as tested with my Lyman digital trigger-pull gauge.

The barrel is 25" long fluted varmint-contour .825" at muzzle. I scoped it with my Lyman digital BoreCam and saw strong rifling and a long, accurate life ahead.

The stock is a composite HS Precision with aluminum bedding block. Score High single-shot follower installed.

Action and barrel work done by Broad Creek Rifle Works in Laurel, DE in 2002 (based on postmark). The stock, action, barrel and scope are all in excellent condition. Approximately 150 rounds fired since barrel set-back and re-chambering. Test targets and letter from Broad Creek available.

Price includes SK bases and rings, but not scope.

Additional photos available on request.

First public "I'll take it" buys it.

PRICE: $835.00 shipped in conUS to FFL who accepts from individual.

I posted photos of the bolt face on accurateshooter.com. I received the following replies:

"You might want to switch up on primers, those are flame cuts from the radius on the primer cup failing."

"Ok to shoot."

"No safety issues at all."

I assume the craters were from the first life as a 22-250, since only a few rounds of 22BR were ever fired.
