It's pretty good ammo imho. More consistent than Federal's XM193 velocity-wise (runs 3078fps avg from my 16" carbine). I shot 150 rounds of it and liked it. I was ringing 8" steel at 200yds with it, but I haven't shot groups with it. Btw, it sells at my "mart" for $.27/rnd on sale, and $.30/rnd normal. Great brass if a fellow reloads. Hope this helps.

Hornady bullets loaded by Lake City, I bought a couple of boxes of 62 gr Soft Points recently. Brass is headstamped "Frontier", hope it is LC in disguise. I haven't shot any yet, but just for grins I tested them for runout. All but two were .002" or less and those were only .004". Pretty impressive.

I tried out both the Frontier .223 ammo and the 5.56 55 gr fmj and in my rifles the .223 ammo grouped significantly better than the 5.56 version. The 5.56 is probably loaded hotter, but I prefer accuracy, myself. Since the ammo is loaded at the Lake City plant, I would bet that it is LC brass with a Frontier headstamp. As for the bullets, they are Hornady's. If you reload, those 62 gr SPBT bullets are available in bulk from Graf's for a very good price with reasonable shipping. https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/77626
