I bought this rifle recently: https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/4595745/Re_Howa_7mm_WSMI've been shooting Hornady brass, WMLR, 63.8 gr of 7828 SSC under a 162 ELD-X @ 2.890 OAL and getting this at 100 yards: I did a ladder in .3-ish grain increments from 62 grains to 64.5 Next I think I'll load up some with RL-22 and CCI 250s and also RL-26 and CCI 250s and see what it does. Haven't checked velocity yet.

Interesting rifle for sure, wonder if it was a prototype of some sort.
Any idea on the stock? Is it the Bansner that came on the alpine rifle?
Also curious about the trigger as the safety looks different than what I'm used to seeing on a Howa.
Either way, cool rig and looks like a shooter!

The rifle is 10+ years old, so while the stock is very similar, I’m not sure it’s the same.
Also, the trigger is three position, so it’s not factory. However, it has no markings, so I’m not sure what brand it is.

Maybe it is factory then.

Either way, cool rig and looks like a shooter! Most likely it as a TImney trigger, they have that kind of safety. Timney and Rifle Basix are 2 who offer aftermarket howa triggers. The receiver is slabbed to mimic the howa lightweight. Looks like very nice work and I really like that Bansner stock.
