hit the gym this morning

squats 3/3/3+, bench 3/3/3+, pull-ups 3x10, dips 3x30, core

5.5 miles with Tiny E- glorious afternoon

1/2 day roofing. Got the porch roof dried in.

Then rode 20 miles with my buddy, 2 good climbs. My knees were barking at me a little from all the ladder work lately.

5.5 miles with a really big climb, then explored a bunch off trail

Got a 3 mile hike in at as fast a pace as I could walk without running. Had my pack all loaded for hunting season and it felt good. About ready for November 3rd!

Roof half-day. About sick of this [bleep]. Should finish tomorrow. Retrofitting onto an old sagged porch the type of fascia needed to properly do a high quality metal roof is a

It doesn't help that these days I approach carpentry like a machinist. I want things RIGHT. If I'm starting from scratch, awesome, just do it right from the beginning. Imposing "right" onto a funky old structure..... aye aye aye

3.5 miles with the wife and Tiny E- some spectacular fall weather of late

9.5miles chasing Pheasants. Pheasants won.

3 hours finishing porch roof, so now I'm DONE, then I cleaned up all the old roof I'd stripped off and took it to the dump. That took a few hours. I'm tired.

With the rains coming on, starting tomorrow, I'm now thinkin' blacktail! These next couple weeks set up nicely in terms of weather- wet and cool. I'd expect there's some pent-up pre-rut energy about to be unleashed....my favorite blacktail hunting conditions are a light drizzle so it's looking GOOD.... haha..

Shop is tucked into the woods so it's hard to get an angle but this shows things more or less.

Still gotta stain the fascia. "Meh". I'm thinking that's a June project.

Took my GSP Molly for a quick run this afternoon and that took me to just over 1000 miles run in 2018.

walked the rifle for 11.5 miles yesterday; hiked about two hours to my glassing spot in the dark and never even turned my lamp on the moon was so bright (actually was casting a shadow)

Still-hunted all day. Man that's tiring. GPS says I did 4.5 miles. Feels like twice that.

Saw a couple does, a small buck (by the road), and an elk. Slipped on clay and busted my ass harder than I have in years.... hip is stiffening up.... greeeeaaaattt.
