I bought some Hornady brass and loaded up some ammo with H414 and Sierra 100 gr flat base bullets and I took 2 muley does back in Wyoming with my 99.
This one was a bit over 200 yards. Took out the heart.
beautiful rifle
Thanks. It was my father-in-law's rifle. This year was the first time I was able to shoot something with. I got some brownie points with my wife for taking her dad's old gun hunting with me.
Most of my brass comes from firing factory Remington 100 grain core lokt ammo. I have a bunch because I got a good deal on it some years back, and it is very accurate in all my rifles so chambered.
Still reloading for it. Got a mix of new bagged brass, and once/twice fired factory box stuff. Definitely got enough to last a long time, especially since H4895 and 87gr Speers at 3000fps just doesn't seem to stretch the brass that much.
Gonna be loading some up tonight.
