my remington model 8 in 35 rem. made in 1933 OLSKOOL, that really is old school -- and cool! When I joined moose hunting camp as a teenager, one of the older guys had a Remington just like that, and in the same 35 Rem cartridge. I recall examining his rifle in the evening by the light of a hissing Coleman lantern, and being fascinated by the recoiling barrel arrangement. His rifle had shot a LOT of deer and more than a few moose! Thanks for bringing back a few memories. John
