I just traded into a Ruger Hawkeye in .338 RCM. Not a whole lot of good choices in factory ammo for it so I intend to reload for it. I will be using 225 grain Nosler Partitions. I see Nosler doesn't even have data for this cartridge. Anybody have any recipes?

I have no experience with the 338RCM but there is data at Hodgdon, Hodgdon link here.

Yeah, I've been to that site. I was hoping somebody had experience with a load using the 225 grain Nosler Partition bullet..Also could use info using Alliant powders in the .338 RCM. I know Mule Deer has a recipe using Big Game powder in Gun Gack #1 but I'm having a hard time locating that powder near where I live.

Reloader 15 shoots best in mine. I'm using 54 grains R15 with 225 Remington Corloct bullets. Very good accuracy. Took a big bull bison last spring with the combo, couldnt ask for better performance. Go to the Alaska Outdoor Forums, lots of good info on this round over there.

Hornady manual only shows one alliant powder and that's rl15 max load is 51.1gr with a 225gr bullet. I looked through my nosler manuals and nothing same thing with my Speer manual as well.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Have two 338 RCMs. A SA 22" sporter using the exact reamer specs that Hornandy designed. And a LA heavy 29" barreled version with a longer throat for 300 gr bullets.
Both rifles thrive on RL-17. SA with 22" barrel had mag box lengthened to 3.050".
Loads:
All loads use 210 fed primers, Hornady brass
225 accubonds: worked up to 61 gr of RL-17 / 2750 fps OAL with 225 accubond is 2.980". Killed two cow elk with this load. Got exits on both broadside shots.
180 nosler bt: worked up to 64 gr of RL-17/ 3045 fps. 215 sierras: worked up to 55 gr of Varget, most accurate 54 gr/ 2730 fps. 215 sierras: worked up to 64 gr of H4350/ 2865 fps
300 gr OTM Berger seated to fit and feed from magazine 54 gr of RL-17 2349 fps This may seem mundane but it will fool you. Try crunching numbers for an elk hunt at 7000 ft. It may not be the flattest round but I feel it would work well on elk. A guy named Broz on LRH used this bullet in his 338 Lapua and had good results down to 1975 fps.
Velocity Energy 100 2286.7 3482.5 200 2225.2 3297.7 250 2194.8 3208.4 300 2164.7 3120.9 350 2134.9 3035.5 400 2105.3 2951.9 450 2075.9 2870.1 500 2046.8 2790.2
