To avoid the issue I did away with all 5.56 rifles. No use to own a 22 mag and a .223

I use high level tactical brown electrical tape and wrap the bottom of my 300 BO mags. I think half the country must be on drugs and another third sporting a room temperature I.Q. Common sense ain't so common.

I also load my .300's to mag length. Makes it less likely to go into battery.

Thats been going on since before the fancy name... I'd have to think I saw one 20 years or so ago with the whisper. Jeff you have a good memory...there was a barrelmaker named John Benjamin from the Pacific North West that wrote in to Precision Shooting about a customer that shot a 300 Whisper loaded with a 168 in one of his 223 barrels. Said he drove the bullet out of his barrel (hydraulically IIRC) and the barrel was fine and went back to shooting 223 after that. Included in that letter to the editor was a picture of the 168 swaged down to 224. Back then we were seeing how heavy we could go in a 223 for Service Rifle. Benjamin had everyone beat with that bullet.

I have a 6x45. Although when I've tested it, I've never been able to chamber a 6x45 round in a 5.56 chamber, I only load the 6x45 in nickle plated brass to provide a clear visual distinction.
You didn't use logic or reason to get into this opinion, I cannot use logic or reason to get you out of it.
