I have some 210 Swifts I may give a try with RL16, might try 16 and 17 and see what the rifle prefers out of the two.

I'm using 210 grain Nosler Partitions and my goal is good accuracy with only moderate recoil. I'm not trying for top velocities. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2800 to 2850 fps. Would love to hear from anyone who has tried it, or if perhaps you have run it through Quickload.

Take a look at the new NOS Reloading data for Nosler-bullet weights up to 265 grains, although RL16 is not shown:

The most accurate loads for 200-210 grain Nosler bullets (AccuBond, CT, E-Tip, and Partition) are with RL19. The maximum powder charge yields 3020 fps, and the minimum charge yields 2860 fps:

Just got back from hunt. Shot RL16 in 338 several times Best load was 71 gr of RL16 for 2940 fps. Used 210gr Nosler Pratitions
And 215M primers Winchester cases at 3.260 OAL. Better load was using Norma MRP, also most accurate load.

In the limited amount of loads I have tried R16 it loads really close to R17 sometimes duplicating the same charge and velocity. R16 is also useful anytime a 4350 powder would work. From the 25-06 to the 275 H&H it has applications and seems versatile. Starting loads for R17 are a good place to begin.

Agree! Tejano in my 270 win RL16 and RL17 with same load gave same velocity with 110gr TTSX bullets.

I got more consistent velocity with cci250 than fed215 with RL16 and Accubond 225

Reloder 15 works well with 200-210 grain bullets in the .338. I haven't tried Reloder 16, but I imagine it should work pretty well with those bullet weights too. I just got some Reloder 15.5. I can't find any load data for Reloder 15.5 in the .338 WM, but it should work well too since it's supposed to be in between 15 and 16 in burn rate.
