Well, I went and bought a Christensen Mesa LH 7-08. Real nice rifle but I have a Ruger 7-08 that puts 5 Hornadays into three quarters of an inch. My wife thinks at my age (81) I am getting senile as why would anyone get another rifle of the same caliber as a good shooting one. Maybe she is right, anyway, guys, help me our here. This rifle is a tac driver, has a new Leupold 3i 3.5-10 40mm scope. took the red butt pad off and put on a limbsaver slip on. also put a god-a-grip cheek piece one that can be taken off. I would say less than 50 rounds down the tube, what should I reasonable ask for it? Thanks and please don't make snide remarks about my brain power

When you decide what it's worth please let me know, I'm looking for a 7-08. Question, does it usually put 5 in 3/4" or was that a one time deal?

Do you have the original red butt pad still? I'd say it is worth $500-$600 just due to being hard to find. That doesn't include the scope of course and I'd not sell them together.

This was the first time I shot it for a group after shooting the barrel in. I haven't experimented with other loads as this seem good enough for my needs and this is what I use. I also put a erniethegunsmith spring in and the trigger pull is right at two and a half lbs. I can't find the original butt pad. Tore the place apart looking for it. Thought about installing a limbsaver and grinding it down to fit but it does everything I want it to do.

I'd just keep it, sounds like a good one.

May I just say to all Mr. Yote and myself completed this transaction and he is a delight to deal with; honest, prompt, and reasonable.
