What kind of (scope, rings, sling, ammo, etc.,) are you “running” on that rig.

Not sure where that one slipped into discussions about firearms but it bugs me more than a little bit.

Kinda miss the good old days when a few well placed knuckle bumps would help sort things out. My grand dad was expert at dispensing'em:)

I admit I haven't read all of these comments yet but the term"SEXY" when referring to a firearm bugs the [bleep] outta me.Do guns have boobs? a nice butt? beautiful eyes?
No it might be a good looking gun but sexy it is not:)

There's a few but let me start with 2 yankee phrases that really grate with me........
1. "That's what I am talking about", when the ijot wasn't talking about anything whatsoever.
2. "Have at it". I had to ask for an interpreter when the English language was butchered that much when I first heard it.

For guns&stuff, how about

"Inherently Accurate"
"Bit of a zephyr at play"
"Old betsy"
"Weapon", its a damn huntng rifle and never intended by the user to be otherwise.
"Leupy" how much time did you save writing that and more importantly, how did you utilize that time saving?
"General bitching" about obsolete/discontinued preferences over current rifles eg "Pre-64" and the Marlin disease that cries over safeties and Remington ownership. Enough.
"Repeated BS" eg Creedmore/Creedmoor upset. Ownership is not compulsory. Grow up.
" Efficient cartridge"

Some Good/Underutilized phrases?
1. "Missed it by that, much"
2. "Wanna nuther beer while I'm up?"
3. " That's a damn good fire"
4. " Saw a good buck this morning" and got some pics

Now I'm confused as I only bed using Devcon and that gets complicated because I have used both Steel and Aluminium but some can't spell that let alone say it. My redneck neighbor is hilarious even trying to recite the coloquial interpretation.

If i recall correctly....i believe 'glass bedding' was coined because initially, the hardening resin used in fiberglass was used for bedding the receiver in the stock.

Nowadays we have epoxy which functions the same as hardening resin (but works better?).

Are you in Wisconsin? I will help. smile Not to hijack a thread but that takes ALOT of balls or stupidity to expect to hunt for free without at least some sweat equity.

The guy never hunted in his life and I probably would have given him the chance if he would've taken initiative to help me with things out there. Ignorance. People have no freaking idea how much hard work and$ goes into maintaining property and such but want to come shoot a deer on your property for free. That gets on my damn nerves more than anything

Can't believe I just read through this entire post. I couldn't stop, too funny. A couple that irk me that haven't been mentioned - Referring to magazine as clip, and chambers as hole or pipe. e.g."Holds 5, 4 in the clip and one in the hole (or pipe)."

"Smoke a pack a day" bumper sticker with cross-hairs over a wolf.

Almost ruined my keyboard with coffee when I saw this. Love it. I'd buy it if I saw it.

Not wanting to start an argument but what other phrase would one use to indicate the range was active with live fire? It seems using, “the range is hot” and “the range is cold” are pretty universally understood.
