Sourdough whole wheat. One slice missing as I couldn't wait. Then I remembered to take a pic as it looked so nice. Made the dough in the breadmaker machine...........one of civilizations best inventions. Then baked in the oven. My wife and I are stating to like that method rather than letting the machine bake it. Maybe because they look "homier" they taste better?

They were kinda far from Ireland/England but I'd still like to look through the pipe tobacco inventory in some of those shops.

Customs would probably require me to get an import licence before they'd allow me back in the country with that much plunder though.

Even though I haven't used any tobacco products in nearly 30 years I still LOVE the smell of tobacco. I'd go nuts in a real tobacco shop. I still have to ask friends to let me smell one of their smokes before they light it. The aromas in a good tobacco shop would be a guilty pleasure for sure.

Geno

PS............ I can picture it now......Charlie the smuggler, a kilo or two of Turkish in his boots and under his hat, trying to look nonchalant in the customs line...... laugh

No doubt, but they might not be waving you through, just trying to get some fresh air in the joint.

Dinner was just a grilled cheese sammy on some of that bread from the other day. Dessert was great though, apple spice cake my wife made in her new decorative baking pan

A little yogurt on top and I was good to go. (I'd prefer whipped cream but none in the house and the yogurt is for an intestinal issue I'm going to a specialist for tomorrow)

I had never tasted a curry until a few weeks ago when we had a chicken curry rice soup.

I thought it was great. We will try your recipe soon Charlie.

Tonight we had deep fried chicken wings and home made french fries.

That's all this is Jim.....chicken curry rice soup....I like lots of veggies so I added a little more carrots and celery.
I also bumped the rice up to 1/3 cup instead of 1/4 to keep my carb intake up.....I have a doctors appointment next week and like listening to her rag on me.....makes me feel loved. smile
