Turkey breast on the pellet grill.
Didn't pan out as planned as our little store din't have any breasts in stock. Came home with 14 lb. Butterball which barely fit on my small smoker.
The turkey I smoked yesterday has the flavor all the way to the bones. Gonna make an awesome smoked flavor carcass soup next weekend.
Got my bird in a BOP simmering ATM to make gravy. Lotsa chunks floating to the top for sammies later tonight.
Wound up with about 6 qts. of wonderful strained stock after simmering for several hours but neglected to make a mire poix as I was lacking carrots.
Question:
Wait till tomorrow and go to the store for carrots or use the celery and onions on hand.
