Doug,

Why don't the Kowa spotting scopes show the magnification in the specifications?

If you search Black Friday on the SWFA site you get some pics of sales. Depending on the pic you get different things, here’s one. I wouldn’t take it as gospel yet. The VX5 prices on some are definitely off for example.

The magnification comes from whichever eyepiece you use with it.

Which scope are you referring to? The 60mm scopes use the TE-9Z which is a 20-60x power

Here are the major Black Friday deals relating to firearms, you'll have to dig through them to find scopes but there are deals available.

Doug how does the above S&B scope compare to the Vortex Razor with MRAD?

There is no comparison, IMO, between the high quality workmanship and optical quality of a S&B and a Vortex Razor. Totally different league of product.

Thanks! What about the warranty on the S&B? Not the warranty on paper but the real street level warranty ? For a few more bucks I’m all about this S&B scope over a Vortex. I’m positioning myself to get a new rifle/scope however I’m going to buy the scope first for a change.

No European company will offer the "No questions asked" warranty of any of the Pacific Rim made brands. They cannot because the profit margin for the mfg is no where near the same. S&B stands behind their products, not an issue.
You do not see many posts discussing S&B warranty because they don't fail in the field.
You do for other brands because there are issues apparently.

It's not fair to compare a Rolex and a Timex. One is a hand made precision instrument and one is an assembly line item.
