Are any of the special run fieldcrafts available with the number 2 contour barrels? That would peak my interest. I want some weight which is the reason the mesa seems a better fit for me. Never cared for light rifles.

Never cared for light rifles. I believe the special runs are only available with the #2 contour. It's still a light rifle but a little more weight out front. Below are the standard 21" #1 in grey/stainless and the special run 22" #2 in green/black. I like them both but off hand I'm steadier with the #2....either way, if the target is past the end of the barrel I'm going to be looking for a rest if possible.

J......did you wind up selling your Fieldcraft?

I don’t know how this is even a question. I have 1 hunting rifle: Fieldcraft in 6.5 CM. It’s my favorite gun.

Is this the only place that has these? Are they better than the gray stocked version?

Any FFL dealer with an RSR account can obtain one directly from RSR for you. Here are the RSR item numbers Green stock BFM18160 LINKBlack stock BFM18292 LINK

Are those barrels SS/cerakote or CM/cerakote?
Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

The barrels and actions are stainless steel as on the standard Fieldcraft. Cerakote on top.

88's at 3225fps,tend to set the bar.................(grin)
