My Sambo she was a year old in September. She is closer to Toy sized though she came from 2 purebred Mini's. She is a delightful pet and very protective of Our family. She is my dog but I have no doubt that she would let a bear eat me to protect my wife. One night my wife got lightheaded due to a reaction to a medicine. She fell in the bedroom I was getting ready to take the dog outside. I heard something but didn't know what it was. Sambo took off like a shot and was digging at the bedroom door trying to get inside all the while barking and whining. My wife can be in the other room and I will tell Sambo to go find her and check on her and she will jump up and go find her.
As a pup. She was the runt of the litter and chose me. When I went to look at the pups she came right over and sat on my boot and just Stared at me.
I've always been different with one foot over the line.....
Momma and I have a total killer, black and white party poodle that weights 4.3lbs. and thinks she is MRS. KING KONG when the tree rats and the cottontails invade her back yard. Her name is Lexi and she has been a life saver for my wife and I.HAPPY THANKS GIVING TO ALL.
That dog knows its one and only chance is to act crazy hostile so as to freak the lions out. Try to run away, and get caught and killed, due to injured hind legs.
I also have 2 Catahoulas. Used to raise them, but the 2 I have now are males, but not related. GREAT dogs! Very intelligent. Mine aren't much afraid of anything. Also VERY protective of us and our property.
I have a Brittany that is so smart it's scary. Great bird dog and family dog. Very sweet dog but death on any critter he sees, and you do not want to lay a hand on our (grown) kids .
Daughter has a Mini Aussie. Huge pita as she is very whiney. Great dog otherwise. Finally settling down a bit and allowing herself to be loved on without the hyper activity worrying something is happening somewhere and she needs to check on it.
Wife has a boston terrier we rescued about 4 years ago. He loves my wife. Lost our Boxer last summer and that was his real buddy. Since we lost the boxer, the boston has transformed into a much younger acting dog.
My dog is a doberman. Rescued him a couple years ago. Think he is about 10 years old. Only doberman I have ever really been around but he is something else. About lost him last year when he got wobblers. He is pretty much the best dog I have ever been around and I've been around a lot of dogs over the years. Since the wobblers issue, we have pretty well spoiled him. Would love to get another doberman but to buy one from the breeder that raised my doberman it would cost around $3000.
