the ancient vikings converted to christianity.

the native americans did what they could to survive & reproduce.

when christianity is on the march, better convert than to die.

islam is on the march. the aztecs, the native americans couldn't compete against the christians.

most folks just want to have a good job, with benefits, and to pay their taxes. don't want guns at their door.

gasoline prices are a big item on the list as folks commute into town for their jobs, and live in the suburbs.

will christianity ever be on the march again, or was that an expression of the past?

who's got the best god in all of the land, and ya better not mess with him and his?

Gus, the most growth in this space is among the non-believers.

It's science and reason that are on the march.

i just hate it when folks never give much attention or appreciation to the development and advancement of the human condition.

mercedes, lexus, walking on the moon, all kinds of anti-biotics, massive human population increases, converting the urth to human artifacts.

if jesus fed out of other people's gardens, that didn't make him a communist did it?

Don't I wish. Here on the fire, only christian political agendas are on the march.

it appears that we might have a problem here?

the XTIANS have advanced across north america.

now, the islamacists are telling their story to anyone who might listen.

so, is it better to have 3 gods, or is it better to have one god? i don't know?

i just hate when we're being asked/demanded to choose without enough information?

You presume he existed.

without a worthy god to worship, what would or might be the role of us humans down here on the Urth? just eat, consume, reproduce, and discuss cosmic questions?

Whether or not he had any magical powers may be up for debate in some circles. But there is no doubt that a man named Jesus of Nazareth did live and die some 2000 years ago. And he was responsible for, or used to create, a major schism in the Jewish community.

Why must we have a purpose? O have knowledge of a purpose?

Does the earthworm know its purpose on Earth, or the trout, or the cow, or even the wolf pack? They know hunger and satiation, and the drive to reproduce. Very similar to the vast majority of humans, it appears.

I exist, therefore I must eat, and have a warm place to sleep. I have reproduced, therefore I must care for my young.

Is there really anything else to know?

Yes I can pay taxes, I do not rightly know what max rate is. I try to only take one day at a time. I do not like to borrow trouble from tomorrow as today has enough

Yup.

Go huntin or something, Gus. Find a problem with your truck so we can talk about that. Maybe discover your favorite ammo is no longer available for your .30-06, or your scope has taken a dump and what should you do?

Gus is an educated man with too much time on his hands, that's all.
