Neat little saddle ring carbine in a relatively rare 25-20 chambering! Built around 1927 (serial number 931677).
The receiver has strong bluing in protected areas, and otherwise a nice faded appearance. There is a strong amount of finish left on the barrel and magazine tube with a handsome worn appearance. Bore is good with strong rifling. Mechanically tight and smooth. The rear barrel sight has a dovetail blank installed (it came with the original ladder sight but I haven't located it after a brief search). There is a Lyman tang peep mounted on the tang that I believe to be post factory mounted, but appears to have been on the rifle for a long time. The wood is free of cracks but there are a couple spots that fill? was added to what I have to imagine was a dent in the stock... it also appears to have been there for a long time and blends in with the stock well. Thats about what I know about it - the pictures I have would likely describe it better.
The first unconditional "I'll take it" posted here followed by a PM gets it!
