No help here. Check AR15.com for the latest ammo input. I dont' know of any cheap ammo and the surplus I'm aware of lately is far from quality or reloadable...

Check the thread above this one....

Big guns can be loaded down to little gun levels. Little guns are always little guns.

Thats one reason I built mine in a non standard caliber AR 243 WSSM I have to handload or pay 25-30 bucks a box (that ain't happining) So by building a nonstandard AR I got a heck of a lot better Yote gun, for me anyway. I cannot shoot surplus ammo, but I get a lot more satisfaction from what I am shooting.

If you decide to reload, get a Dillon 650. Any other way, I agree it really does suck.

All of the cheap .223 is history. Wolf is now selling for over $200 per 1,000. Reloading the .223 isn't any better. Most places are running out of brass and bullets. The cheap 55gr FMJ bullets are scarce if not impossible to find. Every dealer is out and the common theme is that everything is on backorder. The only bullets that I have seen in stock is the more expensive bullets. Also the prices on primes is also increasing. The local gunshops are selling a 1,000 for $26+.
