Oso Negro was vodka Barry, I remember the bear on a key chain too. Dam smell of tequila will get my gag reflexes going, never understood the allure, other than the manly art of tossing down half a dozen shots and getting [bleep] up? Other than that, it doesn't really have an appealing taste. Vic, they made vodka, tequila and gin. Well, at least those sold well... They made bourbon too, but even the hard up bourbon guys wouldn't touch it. After looking, maybe it was the vodka the guys were buying.. Now about all I see is gin and vodka. I don't drink much, but when I do, it ain't that stuff. Oso Negro is owned by Jose Cuervo now, I see as well.

I've never been accused of drinking the best, but tequila is the only hard liquor I drink.
I never turn down a gift of Patron since it's the brand most people give as gifts. I buy more Herradura or Casamigos reposado or anejo for sipping and El Jimador blanco for making margaritas.

I guess that means my 1800 Gold is rotgut then. Its what I can get my hands on and beside my palate is not that refined. Anything that says Gold should be avoided as it's not aged and is most likely not 100% blue agave. Gold means they've added food coloring to make it look aged and put it in a fancy bottle. If it doesn't say 100% blue agave, don't drink it. Unless it's a good mezcal, and that should still be 100% agave.

Been buying Margaritaville Silver Tequila.
It's on sale locally for $11.95 a jug
First silver Tequila I ever tried and I like it.
So, It's the BEST in the world to ME!
One shot W/1/2 tsp. lime juice, on the rocks.

I know nothing about tequila as I don’t drink. Working in Mexico for a year, all my fellow engineers would buy their two bottles of Don Julio 70 prior to heading for the airport each Friday. I think they said it was a bargain for its quality, and the price in Mexico was substantially cheaper than in the US.
At the end of that project every person involved was gifted a bottle of our Latin American Director’s brother’s small batch tequila. Some magazine had it rated as the number 1 in the world. Most of the guys reported it as not being very good.

If it doesn't say 100% blue agave, don't drink it. These days, there's another rule for finding quality tequila : avoid diffuser made tequila. The best I've had so far is Siete Leguas Blanco. Don Julio is hard to beat for an easy to find mass produced tequila. Olmeca Altos for bang for your buck.

Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is the best I've ever had. It tops a lot of lists, but it also has a LOT of haters. Mostly they're bitchin' not about its taste, but that it doesn't return value for money.

I'm quite fond of Patron Silver or Reposado.
Shots in between beers. Alternating beer and tequila left me with hours of dry heaves and sicker than I have ever been in my life...I was 15 at the time but learned a good lesson, straight shots only now.

I got awfully sick on this stuff when I was in high school. Moved on to a little better quality.
