The deers were scarce but as usual, a great time was had!

Tom had the only live deer sighting, a fleeting moment.

Operation "surprise Joey with a new snowmobile" was a terrific hit though. That's what Tom was bringing up. I purchased a used sled from a friend of Tom's and Tom was kind enough to haul it north 6 hours for us. We played like it was a machine that Nathan was buying from Tom (because joey has been wanting a machine since last year when his blew up for the last time).

Fun little prank, happy kid, happy dad. It worked out well.

In all the fun, I didn't take any pics of the Joe's reaction or even of him riding it. He put a lot of miles on the driveway this weekend.

It was a wonderful time as always up there. Thank you again for inviting us up to hunt. Like usual on the way out, I saw so many places that I'd love to investigate to hunt. Lots of good looking country up there.

Yeah me too. Including that one spot that I think looks like a perfect spot for a food plot. We could have stands all around it! lol

I have my first plowable snow this morning at home here, ice is early on the lakes so ice fishing is ahead of schedule.

7 Walleye Saturday afternoon & 5 walleye & 2 pike Sunday afternoon.

We don't have anywhere near that sort of ice here. It was 48* F Yesterday.

Saturday was really mild, I think it got up to 5*C, yesterday big west wind had it cooling off again & we were back @ -21*C this morning !
